COMPLETED: JULY 2015
ROLE: INTERN ARCHITECT, Assisted with Schematic Design through Design Development, creating
models and renderings for community meetings
The addition of 37,000 SF to the existing elementary school building provides better vehicular access, separate from the school entrance, administration and registration. A combination of community use and academic spaces were designed to integrate numerous state-of-the-art design, technology, security and mechanical system features. The project was designed and built to meet LEED Silver sustainability standards.

MEZZANINE LEVEL MIDRISE BUILDING ADDITION
ARCHITECTS: NELSON WORLDWIDE
ANTICIPATED COMPLETION: WINTER 2024
The overall project consists of a roof replacement with the addition of two roof decks, that are accessed by the creation of a new mezzanine level. The addition of the mezzanine level within the existing building envelope was possible because of the existing mechanical penthouse level's height. The facade and roof were modified to include new fenestrations and skylights for bringing in natural light. There was much strategic planning that took place during the schematic phase in order to add usable square footage to the existing mechanical level that would be both desirable and functionable.
ROLE: PROJECT MANAGER & DESIGNER
-
Managed the project from construction phasing through construction administration of phase one
-
Collaborated with the client, engineers, and construction team to value engineer the project and create two phases to coincide with economy and the shift in market-demand
-
Managed the construction administration for phase one and created construction details for design modifications due to in-field discoveries
-
Completed design feasibility study for consolidating circulation to maximize space further and reduce budget ahead of final construction phase
